LIES
Finding a personal truth in a poem

Lies
I tell daily
to make you know me
Never who I am
But what you see

Lies
I live daily
Have grown
throughout my years

Lies
I live daily
When I’m alone
Bring me to tears

Lies
I live daily
Always hiding
My true fears

Lies
I live daily
Never showing
who is near

But Lies
I live daily
Keep my life in simple terms

Lies
I keep daily
Never let me
come to terms

Lies
I keep daily
Always seeing
who I am
Are they lies
I seek daily
Showing
only what I can

Living
lies
became my truth
Forever and tomorrow
Keeping lies
so close to me
Simplest of my sorrow
