A Lost Love

Never again will I find someone
to love me like before.
And no one knows the things you say
when we’re behind closed doors.
You love me deep inside yourself
but cannot let it out.
I wish that I could find the way
but instead I go without.
Your love became an emptiness
that lies inside me now.
But in time somewhere within this world
someone will show you how.
To give what you once offered.
To let me know once more.
To love me like you used to.
There simply must be more.
I’ll sit inside my loneliness
and hope to know that day.
I know that there's a simple truth
and you will find the way.
