Visions of you
leftover visions of what you were

Images swirl in my mind,
visions of you,
memories of us.

Thoughts of what we could have been,
all my hopes, all our dreams
gone in a flash.

Left in the dust and
the mess you left behind
when you rode away.

The stray cat
you refused to name
called puss when you thought I was away.

A sweater and sock
left in the corner
memories strewn,

scattered in every corner
everywhere I look
visions of you, memories of us.

Images swirl in my mind,
all I have left thoughts of what should have been,
visions of what could have been.
