Waiting
waiting for a moment, waiting for too long

I waited for so long.
Pulling through the incessant days;
suffering through the endless nights;
searching through my life,
trying to find you.

I waited for so long.
Now, I have you in my reach
I have come so far
just to hold you in my arms
to finally have you.

I waited for so long
tortured by your nearness.
Now, the closer I get
the further you seem to be.
I never seem to have your heart.

I waited for so long
and achieved so little
to finally realize
the fear of losing you
kept me from having you.
