Circles
A poem written to alleviate life's restlessness

I find myself walking on grass that has been trodden on before
This path in life is recurrent but my heart yearns for more
It seems I'm walking in circles and my eyes are tightly closed
My thoughts rendered useless and oh so wrong are the choices I chose

I feel like a lost child frantically searching for their home
So far away that place must be for the way is not shown
My soul's wings must be broken because my spirit no longer flies
For something solid and meaningful my mind desperately cries

Would someone please shed some light on the darkness of the night
Help guide my thoughts to freedom and center my whole on something right
Aid my handicap of flightlessness and mend my wings to health
Allow me to grasp and own eternal peace and life's priceless wealth
