Argus Filch
He was always on the outside, looking in.

He was always on the outside, looking into a world he could never truly be a part of. Cursing his lot in life didn't get him anywhere. They were always peering down their noses at him. As if he were unworthy to even be alive.

He'd seen their expressions of disdain. But they'd never match the loathing he felt for himself.

How he hated being a Squib. If only he had powers like the rest of them. Then he could leave his pathetic job and make his own mark in the world.

There was only one other he could share his woes and dreams with. She would never betray him. She would never let him down. He trusted her implicitly.

"Meow?"

He bent down to pick her up.

"Mrs. Norris, there you are, luv." He stroked her her furry head and was rewarded with a rumbling purr. He knew he'd be truly alone without her.
