At best,
I walk the midnight
Hours
To settle the restlessness.
Similar moonlight
Encounters of ours
Only stirs my spirit
Of those times we shared
On evenings like this.
Late summer night breezes
And whippoorwills calling out
Love messages
Over here and there about.
You took my love to keep.
