Brushstrokes
One of my very rare attempts at poetry

Brushstrokes of beauty cross evening’s sky.
Touches of pink,
Bold strokes of red,
Soft silver linings before greeting our beds.

Pinpricks of light, flicker night’s sky.
Twinkles of star shine,
Glimmers of light,
Peepholes to heaven, as we say goodnight.

Blushes of dawn painting the sky.
Hints of gold,
Stains of light,
Welcome the sun, farewell the night.
