is spring here yet?
Acrostic poem for a contest.

Idle moments bring strife to unarriving life
Sometime in a future when the sun is warmer

Saturday in the cold doesn't inspire park promenades
Pity about the wasted week-end
Ricocheting directly into stormy mondays
Interior redecorating grows unbearably boring
Nothing exciting, except waiting around, thumbs in pockets
Great outdoor projects postponed again

Hysterics will do nothing to hurry the slowness
Excess emotion, impatient finger drumming is no answer
Remote control buttons for various screens need replacing
Either that or new batteries!

Yellow sunshine is still a myth
Exit months of cold weather nightmares
Tomorrow spring will arrive in our dreams
