Winter Tableau Parched cranky old branches, arthritic and spare, sway in a futile effort to reach the white clouds. Tree trunks clothed in winter's flannel, despair of flanking the sidewalk's lifeless wet shroud. Gusts of wind overwhelm snowflakes drifting midair, Woodpeckers jack-hammer trees, rapid-fire and loud. Winter's Midas blankets barren fields with fanfare, Geese fly one atop another navigating their crowd. The morning sun skips across the river with flair Tiny snow drops decorate the waters gurgling aloud.
