As I Lay Me Down to Sleep
As I lay me down to sleep Pray my eyes don’t see the dreams I weep May my memory conceal the sounds So my heart won’t bleed until it drowns For I can’t escape my mind's ordeal Bound by the pain I’ll always feel Please lonely night don’t be so cold Have mercy on my tortured soul If you enjoyed this poem and would like to read more of my work I currently have two books available that can be obtained through the links below. Velvet Death – The Dark Poetry Anthology http://www.lulu.com/content/177683 Velvet Paradox – The 2nd Dark Poetry Anthology http://www.lulu.com/content/254973
