Metro at Midnight

The long, snake-like metro comes. I go in one of the sections and sit on the cold, hard seat. The doors slide closed, trapping me, alone, in this metal box. The metro starts. The humming of the engine echoes louder and louder. I can hear the wind whip the windows, as the metro picks up speed. The ride is smooth, except for the occasional small bumps. On the next stop, a tall, imposing man walks in and sits in front of me. He eyes me with an eerie grin on his face. A wave of fear washes over me. Crazy thoughts flash through my mind. What does he want? Why is he staring at me? He is so big; he can easily hurt me. I do not dare look at him. I can feel him looking at me. Stop staring at me! I want to yell. I start to tremble slightly. I stick my moist hands in my pockets to keep him from seeing them shake. Finally, a few stops later, he gets out. I let out a deep sigh of relief and continue with my ride.
