"So, Margery what happened with Jack's job inteview? When does he start? Or doesn't he?"

"He doesn't know yet, Mother. They're going to call him."

"They're going to call him! I bet they're going to call him! When hell freezes over that's when they'll call him!"

"He thought the interview went well."

"That's the trouble with Jack. He always thinks things are going well. Maybe on his planet things are going well. This going from job to job ~~ when is it going to stop? Your father had one job and worked for the same company from before we were married until he retired!"

         "I know it, Mother."

"Well tell me this, Margery, when do you think he's going to settle down and start taking care of you?"

         "He takes care of us."

"You call this being taken care of? Look at this place! And you wouldn't even have this if you didn't work every day."

"So what do you want me to do? Throw him out?"

"Maybe it will come to that. What does this company do that he had the job interview with?"

         "They build playground equipment."

"So you think he is going to support you and the kids working on a seesaw, Margery Daw?"
