Green Traffic Light

On a dull Sunday morning,
through rainy windows,
the green lights catch your eye
as they let the traffic pass
and through the trees
the last lamp post shines
causing you to turn your head to see,
you look and wish
everyone else could see it too,
this urban beauty,
on a dull Sunday morning,
wishing you had a camera
to catch the moment,
to keep forever
but all you have is words,
that you don't think are enough,
don't think they convey
exactly what you saw
and how it made you feel,
a little bit of peace
on a dull Sunday morning.
