All's Fair In Love And War
An acrostic on a relevant topic.

A flip comment oft becomes an adage relied on for many years
Love and war two such things that apply to our deepest fears.
Lost in the search for true love and the means to end all war,
Secure in the passionate longing to settle an ongoing score.

Folly has it that love and war are fair and we accept it as so,
Avenging angels tint the light when there’s nowhere else to go.
Images lay fractured in the rays of the beating noonday sun,
Reminders of many souls that lay waste before the war is won.

Importance of love has lost favor to the lure of waging war,
Negative influence reeks, oozes and seeps from every pore.

Lead me not into thinking one has anything to do with the other,
Openly we need to embrace the spiritual realities of one another.
Vesting in humanity never speaks of confusion, war and strife,
Electing rather, to live a full, prosperous, caring and loving life.

Acceptance of the status quo does not mean it’s necessarily right,
Noiselessly, we acquiesce, we’ve lost determination, our will to fight.
Daunting tasks lay before many that seeks the truths to be told,

Waging battle on war, hypocrisy and lies, restoring love to the fold.
At the end of the day, we all come from the same masterful place,
Reality is: Love is the most important resource of the human race.
