Friendship

Withnin we see that it is difficult to leave a friend and to move on with your life.

I’ve left behind me, my old friend.
In time, others may come my way.
I‘ve no regret, my heart will mend.
Who is right? At what price we’ll pay?
It’s not for me to say.

Friendships can’t be bought or sold.
We came to a crossroad. I did not stay.
My future; an adventure to behold.
Emotions of anger and fear I keep at bay.
I’ll keep my faith and let come what may.

I made my choice for a fresh start.
She took one path, I went another way.
The answer lay within the heart.
I’ll hold the memories, for who’s to say?
Our paths may cross again some day.
