The story is far from finished... I need to look it through and add to it. I'm kind of missing some info so I need to get ahold of that to continue on it... Thanks for reading and stop by again soon, if you'd like to know the rest of it.
"Thank you so much. We will see you tomorrow!" With a smile Katie waved one last time as she and Joshua headed for his house. Rachel, Joshua's mom seemed a very nice person and Katie told him that. He shrugged it away. To him she was his mom and that's the way he always knew her. Being still early in the day, they decided to do some shopping and Josh showed her around town since she's never been there. It was the perfect time for it. The weather was warm, yet comfortable to spent a couple of hours sightseeing. There was a light breeze in the air without a cloud in the sky. Finding things to talk about was never hard for them and it showed. Laughing at things, smiling at each other whenever someone walked by and stared. Not that Joshua and Katie looked different, no, because they kept talking without an end. Some people just didn't understand. They ate at a small restaurant, siting outside, chatting away. The food didn't matter. They finally met and that's all they needed, just the two of them alone at last. Half of the day was gone by the time the two of them finally found their way to Joshua's house. Once inside, they looked at the souvenirs Katie bought. There was a key chain she bought for herself and she couldn't resist but bought one for Joshua as well. He, as usual, wanted to be the generous gentleman he is and buy it for them himself but she didn't let him. Instead, when she saw the beautiful snowglobe of the little town in a store window, Joshua ran into the store to buy it for her. He knew that if he gave her enough time, she would complain and he didn't want to listen. He liked to surprise her, make her smile and see happiness which showed on her face. When they finished looking through all the items and discussing every little piece, they sat down in the living room to relax. After all, it has been a long day full of excitement and even that can wear a person out. He brought them some refreshments as well as they continued non stop conversation about each other, the world itself and everything of interest to them. A knock on the door jerked them out of their fantasy world in which, it seems, was only the two of them. Both of them denied the fact that they really liked one another more than just on a friendship basis. They both looked at the door as if it was something they've never seen. When Joshua shook his head and sighed, Katie was worried. "What's wrong? Do you know who it is? Is it more people who need landscaping around their house?" She tried to joke since she knew about his newly found proffesion he loved. "No." he exclaimed. "The only person that it could be, is my ex girlfriend." Joshua was in no mood to listen to her complaints, especially when she sees Katie. Casidy was the only person whom he didn't tell that Katie is coming. Right now he's thinking that maybe he should have. Katie read his thoughts. "So she doesn't know I'm here. Big deal. Just invite her in." She really didn't want more company, but figured, it had to be alright with her, if Joshua was up for it. "I don't really want to invite her in! I should have told her. I know she won't go away, that's for sure. Besides, your car is in front of the house, so she'll know someone is here." He laughed at that. "So you don't want her here?" She asked, happy to see him shake his head as 'no' answer. They both got up at the same time and Joshua wondered for a second if she'll open the door. That would be a real surprise to his ex. He smiled. "I got an idea." Katie answered while looking into his questioning yet laughing eyes.
