Everyone in Shallowhole had heard the stories of Dorian and the grave yard. How he was dared to go there on Halloween at midnight. Everyone knows that you are not suppose to go to the grave yard on Halloween. If you go to the graveyard on Halloween, you never come back. It is said that on Halloween the dead come out of their graves to get back at the people in the town. If you are there on Halloween, they take your soul. It is their way of getting back to the people who go to the graveyard on the weekend and party. The dead don’t like the noise, so on Halloween they come out and steal the souls of those people who woke them. When a soul is stolen, you can hear the cries of demons. Everyone knows that there are only two reasons demons and the dead work together. The dead steal the souls of those who disturb and the demons scare those you who will. When Halloween comes around, the town of Shallowhole is quite and there are no little trick-or-treaters on the streets. When Halloween is over the dead have to go back to their graves, demons don’t have to return to the ground right away. When the dead don’t get their fill of souls, they use the demons to make up for it. The dead don’t get souls, they get new roommates. Dorian James was known to the town of Shallowhole as the trouble maker, the disturber of the peace. He was always beating up kids that looked at him or breaking into people’s mailboxes. Dorian was just a kid with a bad family life. His dad was in jail for getting drunk and breaking into the town gun store. That wasn’t what put him away for life, what put him away for life was going home and beating his wife and two sons. Dorian was the only one who walked away from that alive. Ever since his mother and brother’s funeral Dorian had taken a path that would only send him to jail. Dorian wasn’t always the trouble maker of the town. His older and now deceased brother Dillon was.
Dorian was now just the teenager that was seen every now and then when he was brought in for destruction of property. He lived in the town hotel, which is where he spent most of his time with all his buddies. Dorian was the leader of the group and no body dared go against it. Dorian had a very bad temper; fortunately it was not easily brought on. Dorian was known in the group for doing whatever he felt like and not being scared of anything. If he was dared to do something, even if it was incredibly stupid and most likely kill him, he did it. That is how his ledge began. The kid who would do anything, even if it killed him, the first time he went to the graveyard at midnight his soul was stolen. The dead let him come back to redeem himself. He did just that, so when the dead gave him back his soul, he thought he was good to go. Letting a soul go back to the person it was stolen from didn’t go over well with the demons. That is where all Dorian’s problems began.=It was a week before Halloween and the stories were flying about the grave yard. How it was hunted, how if you went there at midnight you would never come back. If you did come back you were never the same. Dorian didn’t believe in any of the stories. He said that he would go that night at midnight and stand on the grave of his brother and he would be fine. By nine o’clock that night everyone in town had heard what Dorian had said. That night at midnight the ground where Dillon James was brayed began to move. With the screams of the dead and the howls of the demons, Dorian’s soul was stolen. He was not seen in the town for three days. When did come back there was something different about him. He was out more, helping people and he was caught smiling. On Halloween the town was quite as usually. There was only one thing different about this Halloween. Dorian was outside after sun set, he was yelling and screaming at something that no one could see. Dorian was in pain for some reason that was unknown for everyone that looked out their windows. The last time anyone in the town of Shallowhole saw Dorian James he was be dragged into the graveyard. Some people say that he was being attacked by dogs. While others say he was being punished by the dead. No one ever goes out side on Halloween in Shallowhole. Everyone knows the stories of Dorian James. He was murdered on Halloween by the dead and the demons of the graveyard in Shallowhole. What is what they think!! Don’t stand on your brother’s grave at midnight on Halloween. Your soul gets stolen and you become one of the dead.
