Something safe
to keep you grounded.
Someone special
to bring you home,
back to reality.
Hold onto me
when you're shaking
and I will rock you to sleep.
See my face
and not his,
in the dark and in the night.
I'll be awake
when you're asleep,
as long as you watch over me.
In the day
when I sleep to keep my own demons at bay,
I'll be your something safe
to keep you grounded.
Someone special
