WELCOME
to my world of works-in-progress.
Like every writer, I have that damned drawer full of stories-to-be-worked-on. I have a "Writing" folder on my computer desktop full of the first chapters of stories and different ideas to pick up after I'm done with my big "debut" series.
The thing is, though, is that I'm determined to work on these and turn them into something good.
Everything that will be in this folder are my babies—my brain children. The things that come out of my dreams, or attack me when I'm in the shower, or jump out at me when I hear a song.
There's not much in here now, but there will be. I'm always getting ideas.
Most of it is or will be supernatural fiction, and pretty much everything is geared toward a young adult audience. There's usually going to be some romantic subplot of sorts, but that isn't usually the centerpiece of the story. So, if none of that sounds appealing to you, then you probably won't enjoy anything here.
Also, I have to point out the fact that I am a
major perfectionist. Major to the point of being obsessive-compulsive, actually. That means, then, that I'll write a lot, but I won't post it here because I want it to be perfect, polished, and shiny. Fiction is what I consider my specialty, and I don't want to put anything out there that may make people go, "Christ, that girl's a bad writer." Going back to the perfectionist thing, my work rarely reaches that shining, polished point (in my eyes, anyway), so...this folder will probably be a bit desolate for awhile.
But what I
do have the guts to put in my fiction folder...please, enjoy it! And remember...chances are, either you or your kids will be reading these in full novels some day.
