The Longest Night
A short song I wrote when after trying to leave my ex-boyfriend

Sitting in the bus station, waiting for the dawn
Thinking of your loving as the night wore on
Smoking like a chimney as I waited for the day
Wishing I had never gone away

Talking to other people, trying to pass the time along
Knowing you were waiting, anxiously back home
So sorry that I'd ever tried to leave you far behind
Glad you're still in love with me and wanting to be mine

Chorus:
It was a long, long night in Pittsburgh, PA
Loneliness and sadness filled my heart with so much pain
Leaving you was the biggest mistake I've ever made
I'm so glad I made it back the very next day

Sitting in the Greyhound station, all through the night
It was the longest night of my life
The longest, and loneliest night
In my whole life
