blue silk pajamas
soft leather boots my watercolor box a crystal vase for paper flowers a brass watering can to be sure they grow just small enough to fit into the picture captioned "gardener's dream" a red umbrella for reading in the garden while the mist falls like rain a hurricane lamp in case thunder strikes a glass of iced tea, for sipping a fat Havana, for meditative puffing a book to note the night's dreams, for remembering-- awakening at six sunlight pouring in, curtains forgotten the night's thoughts stare at me dreamlike, I always forget their creation a curious blend blue silk has become so ordinary I hate cigar smoke! automatic writing 27 april, 2006
