Winter Jewels
A frosty morning; a garden sprinkler left on overnight: beauty.

Garden sprinkler left overnight
In frosty dawn makes a wond’rous sight;
Water droplets in freezing air
Creating icy patterns everywhere.

Chain-link fence, by water hosed,
To crystal diamonds is transposed;
Leaves and branches are weighed down
With sparkling icicles all around.

Into this frozen garden scene
Steals magic sunshine, gold, serene;
Catches every icy prismed face,
Transforming all to jewelled lace
