Imagine first sight!
Eyes never saw Before any light Nor knew any day Nor dark of night. Imagine first sight! Imagine first sunrise To shock with color Vibrant those eyes. Imagine first sunset Lay bare the wonders Of first night skies. Imagine first cloud To cover the sun. Imagine first rain and First water’s run. Imagine the joy Of the first joyful one. Imagine first flowers, Pearled with first drops, Cascading colors In those first hours, As first bees sip first sweetness In Eden’s first bowers. Imagine first sight Of Her wand’ring close Of first rising heartbeat Of first longing, first eros. Imagine first mother’s cry Singing joy to the cosmos. Imagine first parent’s sight Of first parents’ child; Imagine childhood’s first flower; Imagine first love’s might; Imagine first hour; Imagine first sight.
