 The Question
A young girl's plea with God to let her boyfriend stay.

For as he stepped in upon the moonlight,
his face shone like no other she had ever
seen. It was spell binding beautiful, like a
glorious sunrise containing an array of colors
scattered across the horizon. She knew of no
faults he contained, she knew only of his
ability to enable her to feel. Each moment she
encountered in his presence she prayed for
for thanks. He knew of the world, he knew of
grace. He held within his palms, the ability to
make her feel like there was no other place
but with him.
He reached for her face, and held it in his
hands, she closed her eyes and prayed she
had not lost. She wanted him only to speak of
love, of hope, of fate and how their's could
never be betrayed. She stroked his hair slowly,
she touched his face gently, gliding each
finger over it; memorizing how every detail felt.
The smoothness of his skin, the fullness of
his lips, she kissed them and held her breath.
Oh dear Lord, must you take this man away
from me tomorrow? Let me teach him the
writings of the very soul, let me guide and
protect, let me learn and expand, let me love
him to the fullest extent. For he shall never
look back and regret, that, I can promise. Oh
let him stay here close to my all, and I shall
give it to him.
