FIELD OF LAVENDER
Natural Beauty Lost
Rated:

by
Avg Rating: (1)
Alone in a field of lavender stands one golden flower
Caressed by wave upon wave of gypsy wind
It shudders as the chill of dusk surrounds it's fragile being
Holding it's own against natures tirades
Complete in itself, yet hungering for companionship
It struggles through day by day alone in it's solitude
Thirsting for one secret admirer.

Years go by, and progress invades the field
Until there is no golden flower, nor the lovely lavender
Just the flattened land where nature no longer dwells
Where once was beauty,is now mortar and steel
Where once was life,is now an empty void.
