When I think of all the things to do today,
I’m saddened with how long the list has grown now; There seems no end to bad acts that crease my brow. I asterisk “don’t procrastinate” and pray That at long, long last I may have found a way To eat well, be smoke free, and renew my vow To stop procrastination—and disallow My penchant for easily going astray. I will wash all the dishes, floors, even walls. I will not stop for breaks to breathe nicotine, Even if it causes me physical ache. But without willpower the loser soon falls; I only wash dishes and call the room clean. I’ll get to the list after one more smoke break. style: Italian Sonnet rhyme scheme is abbaabbacdecde (or the cdecde can be cdcdcd).
