soft apologies
no one will hear
tender declarations of love
no one special
thoughts spoken out loud
fears, desires
no one to surprise
conversations with fantasy
whispering at destiny
evocations, incantations
even a prayer
who else will hear?

the mumbling room
a sad corner of my house
the walls, keeper of secrets
know the freedom
of speaking all words
in moments of penitence
from delirious inspiration
rehearsal for another life
hermit's choice
