Help Them Stand Proud

Thanks to the troops
Protecting our shores
Thanks to our young folk
Who are fighting our wars

They give us their youth;
Some give their lives
May heaven protect them
When danger arrives.

They shield us from terror,
Be it miles away
They hold down the fort,
'Tis a big price they pay

So when they come home,
All weary of war
Let's all treat them proud,
With honors galore.

Let's welcome them back,
When their duty is done.
Let's all support them,
'Till the battle is won.

There'd be great injustice,
To these women and men,
Should they return to their homes,
And be treated like sin.
