Are They America?
If professed Americans come to take America's freedoms are they truly of America?

Are They America?

The threat to my gun is the jeopardy to my liberty.
What dishonor to the blood sacrifice of our forbears
Who for this very reason among other tyrannies,
Pledged to die first.

The shot heard round the world,
Once loud and clear, grows dim and far,
A faint and distant sound, a forgotten memory.

Ride Prescott, ride Revere, the people need to hear,
Sound the warning-- they’re coming to get your guns, America.
Where are the Minutemen.

Are they America who come to take America?
Are they? They cannot be.
They point their fingers menacingly,
Promising a safety, a peace, a freedom which is not theirs to give,
For neither have they the power nor the ability to give it,
It is a lie. They are liars.

Are they America who come to take America?

Excuse me, Mr. Criminal,
Now that they’ve taken our guns away,
You’re not supposed to ravish, rob, rape and murder us,
Okay?
Great.
Glad we got that handled.
By the way, since you’re suddenly going to be so nice,
Would you turn in your guns too, like the rest of us decent citizens?
Thanks.

Well, people, we were warned–
Don’t cry when they come smiling,
Wielding the shackles of peace and the handcuffs of freedom,
Ready to lead the innocent to their cells of liberty,
And they, in all their benevolence, will take care of the key,
And defend us all
By their liberal media and the people’s Democratic Army .
