Being It
For but a flicker and the moment’s passed, Don’t blink, it’s moving fast, And fair enough, the eye will see Those moments we call history From the wry smiling vantage of hindsight. What a blight, an excuse for poor sight, The fall back for the failure of foresight. Right now is the time to see clearly, And not miss the moments for nearly, To refuse to let them slip and fade away. For who sees each moment will seize each day, Disabling the bonds of history, Enjoying it and freeing it, Not merely making it, But living and being it.
