Masquerade
Believe the lie I live

I will wear this mask
Until it seals itself to my face

I will wear this disguise
Until they all believe
Until I believe
That I am happy

I will wear this mask
And let them lean on me
I will hear their troubles
I will be their strength
I will sing them inspiration

While I rot
And wither
And die

I will wear this mask
Because it needs to be done
Because no one needs to see
Because if I don't

Someone might fall
Might trip
Might break

I will hold you up
I will not let you down
I will hold you above my head

As I drown

And I will wear this mask
Pretending its my face
And you will all believe
And none of you will see

That there is just a void
And there is nothing left

Of me
