MOVING DAY: April 15, 1986

She stopped to say hello,
welcome to the neighborhood.
Did you know Reagan bombed Tripoli today?
We killed Hanna Quadafi, baby daughter of Muamar.
Bones hold the memory of water,
will her tiny ones recall this day and weep?
Raspberry tea is good for your pregnancy.
Can I help you unpack?
I unearthed the dented kettle, two chipped cups, the Nescafe.
Asked to borrow an envelope, lined paper, some stamps.
Mailed a letter to Libya:
Please know, we all do not approve.
Our bones hold the memory of murder.
Welcome to the neighborhood.
