Leaving Town
Sleeping Beauty

So I hear you're leaving town
I find it funny
Because I don't recall you telling me

I hear you're packing up
Not listening to all the people
Even the one's you never liked
Telling you
Not to go

I heard the reason you're leaving

I hear your good friend Tina
Slammed your face in
Looks like she's not so friendly now

I heard you tell me
"I can handle her"
And then you picked her over me

I hear myself telling you
"She's going to fuck you up"
But I never really said it
In words you'd understand

I hear you're leaving town
I think you plan to leave
Without saying goodbye

I hear you're packing up
I find it funny
Because I don't recall telling you
That you're allowed to go

I heard the reason you're leaving

And I hear myself saying
Please don't go
'Cause even when you're down
I don't believe you're out

So I hear you're leaving town
I find it funny
Because I don't recall you telling me

I hear you're packing up
With fingers that turned numb
Not listening to all the people
Everyone that loves you
Telling you
Not to go

I heard you tell me
"I guess this is goodbye"
And then I let you go

I hear myself telling you
"Remember this is what you want"
Knowing even as I did
It was just your angry words

I hear you're leaving town
I think you plan to leave
Without saying goodbye
