5. The Rain over the Belgium Bay.
-November 15th 2153-

“mmmm that’s nice” Nora said. Boris kept nibbling at her ear, neither of which really knew what was going on. Boris was in his dream world, so didn’t believe that Nora was real. And as for Nora, she knew what was going on after a moment or two, but she liked it too much to stop it.
An instant later Boris opened his eyes and saw what he was doing, he didn’t see the smile on her face. He jumped back and tried to apologize, “I’m so sorry, I don’t know what I was doing,” he rambled for a few minutes more, but Nora just rolled over.
She sat up and looked around, “quiet for a moment. Where’s Freddy and Creek?”
Boris gave a shrug. They stood up and look for the car; it was where they left it. Nora started walking, and looking for some sign of them.
“Whats that on the windshield?” Boris asked.
It was a note, explaining where the two had gone, “to find some food,” it said.
“Good, some time away from that jerk,” Boris said.
“Don’t talk about Freddy that way,” Nora barked.
“Well, why is he so great? He’s treated all of us like shit since the moment he was a rat?”
“He’s trying to save his daughter’s life, and to do it, he had to sacrifice his own,” Nora started, “that ‘upgrade’ he got will kill him, he’s already dead. He has maybe a day, or two left.”
“Oh, well I didn’t know that,” Boris said, “but how does Creek fit into all this?”
“Creek is Freddy’s best friend, and Creek is in-love with Fumi.”
“Who’s Fumi?” Boris was pretty smart, but they hadn’t talked a lot during the trip so he didn’t exactly know who they were going after.
“That’s the chick we’re trying to save. She and Freddy we’re together since the day the world ended. Shortly after that Freddy lost his leg in an accident, and it was Creek who nursed him back to heath,” at this point Nora had started a ramble, and couldn’t stop, she kept explaining Freddy, Creek, Fumi, and everyone else should could think up for an hour till the other two party members showed up and they all started off again.

“Get up Eric; I don’t want to carry this damn gun any longer!” Fumi exclaimed knocking Eric from his slumber.
It was a cold morning. They needed jackets just to walk to the car. Fumi’s cheeks were bright red. She almost didn’t hear the person down the street calling at her.
“Jessie!” called the boy running down the street, “Jessie, we’ve been looking all over for you, your brother is worried sick and….your not Jessie!”
“I know,” Fumi said with a smirk on her face, “I’m Fumi, and this is my friend Eric. Is there a lot of people living here?”
“More or less,” the boy said, “I see you have a car, none of ours work, can you trolley me about till I find Jessie and Lisa, and then I can introduce you to all the people back home?”
“Yea that’s a great idea,” Fumi said with a smile on her face. She looked back at Erik, his face was a bit more inquisitive then Fumi had been.
Back at the Nazi’s camp they had talk all about many things; one of which was Fumi, and her being along.
“The god’s messenger shall not go on un-guarded!” Dante commanded, and then pointed out that Eric had wanted to travel. So it was Eric who became Fumi’s escort.
“What do you mean, ‘none of your cars work’?” Fumi asked the young boy in the passenger seat.
“Well we spent most of our time trying to get entertainment set up, rather then mobility, and other such stuff. No one was really into cars, honesty,” the boy said.
The three of them rambled on for about an hour more until they found Jessie. She was a cute girl, a little older then Fumi, but she acted as though she was half of Fumi’s.
“Heeeeeeey baby!” she cried when the car pulled up next to her, “Nice set of wheels, and uh…who are those set of smelly socks?”
“Smelly socks?” Eric uttered, “What are we in a Harry Potter book?”
Fumi giggled at his remark, “I’m Fumi, and this is Eric. I’m from Berlin and he’s from Luxemburg,” she explained.
“That’s cool,” Jessie said, “well I’m sure you’ll enjoy it here, if you’d like to stay for a while.”
“Ok, putting the pleasantries aside, what happened Jessie? You’ve been gone all night, and don’t have a scratch on you,” the boy asked.
“Well, me and Lisa were out searching for jewelry, Jeri said she was tired and she wanted to go home for the night. But me and Lisa wanted to dig some more. So we were digging for a while, and I said, I’m ganna check this store over here, and I did. And then I just kept checking stores till I looked up and realized I hadn’t a clue where I was, but I found a motel so I decided I’d just sleep there and find my way back when it was bright out,” Jessie rambled.
“Lets head back now,” the boy said, “Lucy is strong enough to take care of herself, and she likes to be alone some times.”
The boy gave them directions to camp, and what came next was almost a festival.
“Guten tag!” someone yelled. What followed next was the tedious banter about who Fumi and Eric were, and how they arrived here. Most of the people were interested in the stories they had to tell. Others were just got back to their daily lives.
“So anyhow,” Fumi continued, “the entire reason I did the journey is to get rid of this gun. My father’s idea was to drop it in the ocean, but you said you didn’t have cars, so I don’t think you have boats.”
“We have Mr. Furly’s yacht and a couple speed boats, nothing fancy,” said the boy.
“Yep, and I was going to take my yacht out tonight to drop off some bodies,” said Todd Furly with his entrance queue.
“Bodies?” asked Eric.
“Well you know all the people that died. I’m the guy who takes them to the ocean and gives them a funeral,” Todd replied proudly.
“Noble,” said Fumi with a slight distaste in her mouth for what she just heard. She thought about it for a moment, and thought about the child holding the dog. Both dead, both were laying there, wasted souls. They were ones that deserved a proper burial.

“Hello Lucy, how’s my little bundle of joy doing?” Jessie asked. She had stridden off during Fumi and Eric entrance, to go back to what she was doing.
Lucy muttered something, and then let a tear roll down her face. The blood from her forehead was keeping her blinded. She twisted her hands to no avail. They stayed firmly inside the cuffs.
“Do you want to know why I’m doing this?” Jessie asked rhetorically, “I’m doing this because I enjoy it. I’ve wanted to do it for so long now. Everyone loves to, so it makes it more fun to know that everyone will be hurt by your slow death,” Jessie continued while wiping a surgical knife clean, “I think I’ll make a design in your boob,” she chucked a demented chuckle, “sex parts on people seem to enthrall me more just your forehead like I did before”.
“You know, it was always the hands I enjoyed most, when I tortured someone,” Alex said, sliding up behind her, “I’m getting my memory back thanks to you. I’ve tortured people before, not many, but enough to know I LOVED it,” he said.
Jessie just sat there in panic. She didn’t know what to do; she hadn’t even seen his face yet. First was the panic that someone had caught her with her pants down, but from the sounds of it, they weren’t wearing anything either.
She then started to panic about what he was saying. She loved her tiny cute hands. They were her best feature. The freak that stood behind her might destroy the hands she loved.
Alex moved forward and lifted Lucy’s hand. He gripped it firmly, and then began to squeeze. Harder and harder he held the poor woman’s hand….until….CRUNCH. Alex lifted his chin into the air while the woman let out muffled screams. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath of what had just transpired, “I’ve never done that before. It was amazing. If you ever die, I suggest you do that.”
Jessie looked at the man’s boots; still terrified to look him in the eyes. His boots were stained with mud. She drew her eyes slightly upward. His pant legs weren’t that bad; a few holes here and there. She decided it would be alright to look up a little further. His shirt was stained with blood; his hands were burned and scarred. In shock her eyes shot up ward and saw the face of the beast that existed before her. His face had a huge boot print stained to his left cheek. A bloody trail ran from his right eye. His hair was handsome, although mussed and dirty.
“Hello beautiful, hope you haven’t been waiting long,” Alex said caressing Jessie’s face.
“Who are you?’ she said, wonder what he meant by ‘when you’re dead’.
“I’m Alex, who are you?”
“Jessie,”
“Hi,”
“…..”
“Fine, don’t talk to me,” Alex said, “My companion decided to run from me. I killed him with a crow bar. It was a lot of fun.” Alex was enjoying himself too much at this point, “I was wondering if you could help me find a young woman.”
Jessie gasped, she assumed she was about to get raped.
“Her name’s Fumi, she’s got brown hair, tiny tits, she’s dressed in black,” he described.
Jessie gulped, “she’s the girl that came into town to destroy a gun or something. She’s probably…”
“DESTROY A GUN?!?” Alex interrupted in a fury, “WHERE IS SHE?!?”
“The docks, she’s shipping out with Todd,” she said assuming that would be good enough for him.
Luckily it was. Alex bolted out the door in search of the docks.
Jessie turned around to the sobbing, gagged and bound woman she was toying with for the last four hours. Her hand was mangle, far beyond any surgeon’s care. She loved it, and was slightly aroused by it.
A thought hit the ice bitch that had been tormenting Lucy for so long that day, “The man will never find them in time, and then he’ll come for me.”
“WAIT!” she cried running after him, “they’ve already left to sea by now, and you’ll never catch them. But I have a boat, we could take it and find them before you know it.”
Alex looked at her for a moment. He smiled then leaned in close to her face, “take me to your boat cunt. Then take me to the girl,” Alex commanded.

“Get ready, I can feel Alex around here some where, we a very, very close!” Freddy’s voice was a mix of crazy and dieing.
It was dark out, just barely enough light for Freddy and his posse to see the cruise liner they were boating to.
Boris was on watch, while the other had there minds full on the rowing. Boris couldn’t see much of anything; every so often he’d swear he could see something move in the water, but moments later, nothing. He had assumed it was some kind of animal. He was accustomed to any that would make that big of a wake, but all the same he didn’t remember much of his marine biology.
They made it to the boat and shimmied themselves aboard. Freddy began to feel the last of the side effects of the drug he’d taken at the beginning of his journey, mental instability. Not the rage filled kind he’d had all along; the insecurity of knowing, or not knowing everything around him. He began to worry that he was on the wrong boat, or the some had lied to him and Fumi was already dead.
“FUMI!!” he cried as he stepped aboard the deck.
Fumi being just around the corner almost had a heart attack when she heard the cry. She didn’t recognize the voice, but she knew it was a rat. Maybe it was Creek after he’d had something done to him. He’d fucked himself up a few times before: rebuilt his ears, covered his arms with stud implants, and plenty of other bull crap that she didn’t give half a rat’s ass about.
She moved around the edge of the walls and saw the four standing there together. And she just stood for a moment, “is this a rat I haven’t met yet?” she thought to herself. Creek was right there next to him, so it couldn’t be him. Then she saw his eyes, and she knew.
“Fumi,” Freddy said letting out his hand to catch her.
She ran to him and clutched her arms around him, “oh god, what have you done?”
“I came to save you,”
“From me,” Alex said thrusting a knife deep into Freddy’s back.
Freddy screamed then fell to the floor. Everyone took a step back in terror.
“Look you whore, give me back my gun!!” Alex demanded of Fumi.
“DON’T YOU DEAR TALK TO FUMI THAT WAY!” Freddy roared as he stood up with a massive wound.
Boris bailed, he grabbed Nora’s arm and charged for the side of the boat.
“Stop,” Nora said, “they may need us!”
“Nora,” Boris said just her name, and she knew it was all that was needed. They were both scared, terrified, but Nora shook her head…Boris stood there for only a spilt second, one more clichéd second that lasted forever.
With drama like this in your life, you could live forever on these seconds. Now in this second, many animals ended their existence and many started. The universe grew a little more, but the god in charge of watching over this little group of beings was confused. What was Boris to do next?! It’s an incredible question. Nora, the love of his life, and his only friend asked him to stay. But Boris knew that if he stayed, only one thing would come out of it, his own death. But if he left, the only people he knew, and the only life there was left to live on this failed attempt of a planet would cease to be his. So in effect, if he left, he would die. The unfortunate thing is he would be alive to feel the pain of it.
Boris of course didn’t think through any of this, he didn’t have the time to. All he thought about was Nora’s beautiful green eyes. He knew that the creature known as Alex thretend those eyes. He knew that if he left those eyes would be gone. He thought about this for just long enough to remember the gun he had picked up in Luxemburg, then he gained a rage fill expression in his eyes. He pulled he pistol. Nora’s eyes smiled.
Alex’s eyes stopped rolling; he’d started them back in Boris’s moment of uncertainty.
Boris aimed, and fired. Up till now, no one knew he could hit a red fly in a patch of pink ones at 100 meters; not even Boris.
Alex’s eyes exploded, and then grew back as normal eyes. He charged Freddy and through a punch, then another. Both landed on Freddy’s jaw. Freddy charged back and shoved the walking dead into one of the marble coffins.
Fumi grabbed the gun she was sent out destroy and tossed it into the coffin with the beast. Nora dove in and closed the lid on him. It locked into place.
“What’s that sound?” said Fumi.
Alex’s hand forced its way upwards and shattered a hole in the lid big enough only for his arm. They all heard his cries, his screams of anger.
Fumi pulled her sward and sliced off the protruding appendage. Another loud scream of pain bellowed through the marble hole.
“PUSH!!” Freddy howled forcing the coffin to the edge of the boat. Creek was the only one to take his side. They shoved it to the edge and then over the side.
“That kind of a rock has got to sink fa….fas….fast *thud*” Freddy fell to the ground.
“D…d...dad……...DAD?!” Fumi cried. She ran to him and lifted his head, to hold it in her arms. Tears rolled down her face. She felt his pounding heart thump its three last beats.
“Why?” she asked, sobbing, “I could have handled him,” she wanted him back, “Creek would have come, and he could have helped. All the rats could have come, they all would have,” she sobbed some more.
Tears ran down everyone’s eyes but Boris. Boris wasn’t fond of Freddy, he was glad he was gone. Boris kept his mouth shut; she just rubbed Nora’s back, and looked off into the distance. He sneaked a peek at his watch. It clicked to midnight, then to one second later.
