The sun the sun
The way it shines After a rainy day The bright white sun The way it warms And makes you want to stay Outside The sun, so generous Letting you lay there And gaze Doesn’t care if you stare Till everything’s blue The sun smiling down Shining through the leaves Sprinkling temporary fairy dust Lightly on the wet grass The sun so sleep Making you want to Want to yawn and sleep The sun, being stitched A yellow button On a blue scrap of fabric
