He Found Her

He stood there watching and waiting for her to pass by. He had waited a long time for this moment to come to pass. She was the one that would complete the plan he had laid out when she was born. The time was now. She had to make her decision tonight or it would be too late and all would be lost forever.

The evening sun was in it's passing and night was about to fall. The shadow of him standing in the alley cast over to the left of him. His heart ached inside for her. She was gifted and nothing had taken place to show that she had really used all that he had placed in her but now was the time for that to come into bloom. As he gazed down the street, he saw her coming his way. Until now he was a stranger to her but tonight that would all change. She passed by carrying a bag of groceries. She was tired and stressed from the days work that she had just done. She was a hard worker and very admired for her truthfulness and kindness to all who knew her on the job.

He didn't move as she passed by. She went passed him swiftly. As he watched her, he knew that time was short and that he had to begin to move out and begin the process of getting her back. He had set up messengers along her way for a time now but she never responsed to what they had to say. Now she had to. There, over there, came the first messenger to cross her path tonight.

This time he used a young girl who had lost her ball playing on the sidewalk. As the little girl ran crying she came to her rescue. The little girl looked into her eyes for help. She responsed to the girl and got her ball. He stood watching from across the street and was pleased with her response. She continued to walk to her apartment when she was confronted by an elderly lady with two bags of groceries. This would be the last messenger to come her way. As she passed in front of the elderly woman, all of her groceries fell to the ground. Would she help her? He watched to see if she would pass the test.

She approached to elderly woman and bent down and put the groceries back into the bag. She had passed the test again. He was thrilled at the progress she had made but time was running out. She invited the elderly woman to her apartment.

As she opened the door, her dog came running to greet both of the women. They continued in and sat down at the dining room table. She made some tea and they began to talk. He was there now standing outside the door of her apartment. His heart was pounding and excitement grew inside of him. Would she do it now? Would this time she let him come in? He stood there waiting to seize the moment when it happend.

The conversation had taken a turn as the two women talked. It had started out to be about her apartment, her dog, and her life in the city. Now it was about her. The elderly woman had great wisdom and seemed to know a lot about her. She was taken in by her depth of understanding and knowledge of life. As the conversation continued, she began to realize that she was uneasy about the way she was saying things. Terms that she used she had never heard before. What was the meaning of all of this?

Gently she got up and walked over to the window. She pulled open the curtain to let the moonlight in. Feeling better she went back to the conversation about God.

She had wondered all of her life about Him. Was He real? Did He really live 2,000 years ago? All of her questions were about to be answered. The elderly woman took her hand and ask if she wanted to except Jesus as her savior. She felt a warm and tender love fill her heart. The was the moment He had been waiting for. Would she say yes or pass Him by and be lost forever? She sat there for a moment and then with tears streaming down her face, she said yes. The moment that this answer was spoken all of heaven rejoiced. She almost could hear the singing taking place in His world. He no longer was standing at her door but had just entered into her heart where He now could live with her forever.

It had taken 26 years for this moment to happen. Him come into her life and now she would fulfill the destiny that she was called to do here on earth. He now could mold her and move her to the place that He had planned for since she was born.
