A rocky road welcomes you in--
A cantilever in its essence--
A city you never really want to see--
let alone stay in...
BUT it's beautiful--
people are living, everyday;
loving the place that once was great:
Known for its automakers
and beautiful lakes.
Feel its presence,
as you arrive inside...
A place that makes you cry;
a great city,
NOW, beaten down bad...

STILL it stands strong--
WAITING--
arms wide open in a wasteland.
Come one, come all--
to the place they call the motor;
meet the vigour people,
THIS IS DETROIT!
