Lane Lotto
Quizmo LaGrande In a city of asphalt, tires, and sprawl, Taillights travel in lines at a crawl. Hours to spend parked, barely moving, Morning and night, never improving. Dollars ka-chink between the lanes Dumping poison, exhaust, and despair in exchange For no-other-way despondent commuters, Somewhat concerned about crazed drive-by shooters. Positive players “Sing Along with Mitch,” Others have fun with “a fast lane switch.” Dangerous denizens at freeway paces Dozing, dreaming, applying faces. Wheezing between cell phone talk Cigarette smoking, in smogged traffic balk, To fellow drivers, no nod or good day. More likely a finger—"Get out of the way!"
