We are in the digital age now
But we were already there
Many years back
Dating back to when humans first appeared on earth!

We were making calculations
And arriving at decisions
Based on bits
Which they call it one or zero

Even to this day
Set apart the computers
And the modern gadgets
We are digital humans

Each day passes by
Based on a yes or no
Which corresponds to
One or zero in the digital form

Whether to hunt for deer or bison
Or to have a camp fire
With different drum beats altogether
Or to mate in the light of full-moon

Whether to go to office today
Or to date this gal or that
Whether to attend the party
With or without family

Whether to eat out or in
Or take family out for dinner
Whether to have children now
Or two years later

Whether to study or go for a job
Whether to marry now or later
Whether to buy a house
Either on this side of the street or other

Whether to buy a car old or new
Whether to go for a loan or mortgage
Whether to have a second kid
Or have a second marriage with all kids!

The list is endless
So also the process
As one decision leads to another
Which again branches to yes or no

The whole life is a flow
Activity started from the time
We came out of mother's womb
All time crying, drinking and sleeping!

The whole life is a program
Booted right from birth
Having a system shut down
With no restart option

The daily chores we do
Is the While or Do loop
And the sudden decisions we take
Resembles the Go To option

The decisions we take correspond to
The If , Then and Else
The lifes code is pre-written
The developer is anonymous !

Of course there are viruses
That infects us
All through our life
Some are curable but others not !

The life is a object oriented program
As there is polymorphism
And inheritance
By way of traits from our descendants

Memory is huge
Both visual and audio
We hardly forget when we get hurt
And barely remember when we hurt others

Of course in life we can debug
And identify our mistakes
Some mistakes can be corrected
Other cannot be as what is done is done!

Some say we learn as we grow
Or is it we grow as we learn?
We learn from mistakes and how many mistakes
We can afford in this life to learn everything?
