Peace steals over me
Rolling hills, Breezy leaves, Dark earth under my cheek, I still, breathing low and cool. Peace settles on me, Pages for pillows, Fruited shadows, Monochromatic truths, I raise up, breathing questions and answers. Peace holds onto me, Knotted lifeline, Stolid trappings, Softened core, I sleep, breathing escape and futility. Peace rests its case. Questions moot, Answers forgotten, I float and sink, both.
