An Invitation To A Walk

My fellow writers, I ask you to join me in my adventure. Many of you have read my writings, and seen my avowed purpose of changing the world. I have claimed a simple truth; if what we are doing doesn’t work, quit sticking bandages on it, and do something different. There are as many paths as the number of photons emanating from an object. These photons are made up of light and dark matter. We were granted, “Free will,” and thus it became our responsibility to seek paths of light. Hatred, greed, dominance, slavery in all its forms, war, confusion, misunderstanding, these are the products of dark paths, and do not have to exist on earth. The solution is as simple as taking a different path.

Let us consider my request a contest. One whose result can be measured by an increase in the humanity displayed on this planet. Our writing site is very fond of contests, so I have determined to orchestrate the greatest contest ever held.

Today, I come before you to introduce this concept, and to prepare you for its eventuality. Over the next ten months, I hope to flesh this out in order to include as many of you as wish to be involved in a challenge of monumental consequences. If I do this well, it should be possible for you to participate, and receive the benefits of daily feedback confirmed by national media coverage of our efforts.

Today, I issue this simple invitation, and hope to pique your curiosity. The following information states some of the events of this contest. As stated this will be expanded, and drafted for your complete inclusion and understanding. For now, think on these efforts.

1. On or about April 15, 2007, it is my intent to walk out my front door, in Northern California, and walk to Chicago, Illinois.

2. I have informed Oprah Winfrey of this event, and stated my reason is for the purpose of personally handing her a copy of my book.

3. I will have compiled a list of all, newspapers, radio, and televisons facilities on my route.

4. I will have people traveling before me in-order to inform these facilities 24 hours prior to my arrival.

5. I already have a nascent network of people who will read my daily progress updates, and will e-mail these to as many people, and media outlets as possible, on a daily basis.

6. Here is where I hope you will be involved in this contest. For the efforts of you, on this site, will be rewarded, based on your daily e-mail numbers. The person who sends the most will be the winner, and receive one-million GPs, second place will receive five- hundred thousand GPS, third will receive two-hundred, and fifty thousand GPs. This is merely the financial impact, the true result will be the daily media coverage produced by your effort, and your involvement in making it happen.

Okay, enough for now, except for some personal information: On June 7, 2006, I turned 62 years of age. This event was heralded by the birth of my second grandson, and for the sanctity of these two jewels of my life, I felt I must do something about their future. The pervasive feeling things are not looking too bright can be changed, and it must start somewhere, so it is left to you, and I. For those of you who join me, think on this, for the rest of your life you will have the knowledge that you tried, and the memories of the results we achieve. Over time, I feel these will beome precious stories and thoughts. Forever, you will remember your effort to change the world, and with luck have positive results to which you can point, and say, “I did this in my life.”

More to follow!!!!!!!

Send questions to my e-mail on this site. I shall attempt to answer them as quickly as possible.
