Personal Odyssey
the struggle to find my own happiness
Rated:

Avg Rating: (5)
I am on a journey
Sailing ever onward, I set my eyes on Ithaca,
my one true happiness, where love and life await me.
I thought it would be easy, but the winds aren't in my favor.
Water takes you home, but not for me.
Time and time again I am tested and diverted.
Tempted by sweet Sirens' song, voices of peer pressure from the shore
and Lotus-land, where I denied myself the mind effects of drugs.
I was trapped against my will by the love of a nymph,
for years I am kept from my one true goal.
Will I ever make it, or are my dreams lost at sea?
A higher power controls my fate, making me a pawn
in this struggle to reach my Ithaca, my contentment.
