Free Verse Poem
I personally can relate to this poem about forbidden love and I think others can too.

When you look at her my heart cringes
I have never seen you so happy
I can’t bear to look you in the eye
Inside me is an emptiness
When I see you holding her hand
My heart splits in two
It pains me to see you together
But I put on a fake smile and act like everything’s fine
When really I am dying
I deal with the pain in my own way
Keep it hidden from the real world
No one else knows
It’s my deepest darkest secret
If only you could feel the same way for me
