Sonnet
This is a sonnet that I wrote for school. It is in iambic pentameter and is about love.

My love for you is deeper than the sea
It is purer than the clean mountain air
To see you I would climb the tallest tree
You are as sweet as the juiciest pear.

Every time I see you I can not breathe
I see you both there standing in the den
Because I can’t have you, it makes me scream
I wish your relationship would soon end.

He says “I love you” in her blue eyes
For then I realized this was all scripted
The tears I can feel as I start to cry
For this is the work of what Hollywood did.

As the credits roll across the big screen
My love for him can only be a dream.
