Sun stands still!
Culmination of spring’s sweet desire; inauguration of the season of fulfillment. On the longest day of the year, I meditate on the similarities between the seasons and civilizations. Both affect the human race, in subtle ways. Both flow, like rivers across the landscape of human evolution, affecting and being effected by humanity. Summer becomes autumn which becomes winter which in turn becomes spring. Civilizations rise, conquer, rule and are conquered. Humanity survives and advances. Sun stands still! Pi poem: 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9, 2, 6, 5, 3, 5, 8, 9, 7, 9, 3.
