Morning Coffee
Morning coffee, how I love it. On the kitchen counter brewing, Resting my head upon my hand while Night’s dreams still dance in my head. I long for the dark hot liquid to wake me Never can I start my day without it, God, I thank you for that rich brown bean Coffee, coffee, I can hardly wait, On the pot the red light is shining Filling my mug, I savor the aroma, Full of promises of a new day’s start. Each sip is heaven on Earth to me, Enjoyment and pleasure in a cup. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Acrostic Poetry: First letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same word as the title. This form of poetry can be rhyming or non-rhyming.
