I Dream of Shadows. . .
I dream of shadows in the night And moonlit strolls by a turquoise sea I dream of lifetimes gone by When there was only you and me. I see shimmering drops of water Like so many wishes I once made Each shadow holds disappoinments And depts that are never paid. I smell softly perfumed breezes And the nostalgic feelings that they bring A time of such joyful happiness And of a magical, mystical thing. I feel sensations too mavelous For any words to try to describe Each feather-light caress ignites- Fire I thought had died. I hear words spoken long ago Sweet whispers in the night From one who loved so deeply Turned from shadows to the light. I know that a lifetime ago It was you who held my heart Although we are not together now In dreams, we're not apart.
