![]() “THE CATERPILLAR AND THE BUTTERFLY” There was an ugly caterpillar that was known as war Endless misery consumed us until we settled the score But we discovered that ugliness could be transformed into peace It was a beautiful dream we captured upon the butterfly’s wings The caterpillar brought catastrophe, the butterfly brought relief We found that in making war that we only harbored grief The enchanting butterfly delivered happiness that knew no bounds The caterpillar only unhappiness and discontentment to everyone around Unnecessary heartache was what we found in war An aching unimaginable, with nothing to strive for Yet the rapturous wings of the butterfly delivered much content A miracle to say the least, the butterfly a Godsend Always keep in mind that the caterpillar is a disease That only upon the wings of the butterfly will we obtain peace The caterpillar spells nothing but hatred and destruction Upon the wings of the butterfly we will find salvation Cast aside the evilness that the caterpillar brings Love and true compassion can be found upon the butterfly’s wings Sherri L.
