Thank you God for all that you’ve given me
A lifetime of love, encouragement, and my family
Thank you God for letting your presence be known
making me feel more complete by the love that you’ve shown
Thank you God for always being there
Even at the times when no one else seemed to care
Thank you God for helping save my life
During the times I felt such pain and strife
Thank you God for helping me find my way
Your presence is felt stronger with each passing day
Thank you God for my feelings of inner peace
Where once I could see only a world of disease
Thank you God, I can’t say it enough
You’re with me during good times and when times are tough
Thank you God for giving me the wisdom to grow
To see that one day we all reap what we sow
Thank you God for a world we’ve all taken for granted
Of its everlasting beauty that should keep us enchanted
Thank you God for all of the gifts you give
For teaching us all how to forgive
Thank you God, sure life has its tolls
Yet it’s you, my dear father, who holds all of our souls
And if that can be remembered and not taken for granted
We’ll all find a true peace, a Heaven enchanted
